Peace in Surrender
Often, I find myself drifting from the essence of who I am in the embrace of the Lord. It's a delicate dance between who God defines me to be and the image I aspire to embody. There's a longing within, a desire to carve my path, to shape my destiny. Yet, I'm reminded time and again that our lives are not merely our own; they are intertwined with a greater purpose, a purpose to serve others, and above all, to serve Jesus.
In the quiet moments of reflection, I'm drawn to the words penned in the book of Matthew 10:39: "If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." These words offer solace, reminding me that God's plan for us transcends our wildest dreams. Despite our yearning to steer the course, we are but players in a grand design, guided by His hand.
There's a profound tranquility in surrendering to this truth, knowing that I am exactly where I'm meant to be. It's a realization that will echo through countless moments, a gentle nudge back to serenity amidst life's uncertainties. For I believe that our Father desires for His children to dwell not in the shadows of worry or the weight of stress, but in the radiant light of His peace.
May these words resonate with you today, offering a glimpse of that enduring peace that surpasses understanding. May it accompany you on your journey, guiding you with each step, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
